Hello and welcome to a new season of Junior rugby at Oundle RFC. This season we have an U13's squad through to U17's with good squads. The full compliment of squads is an achievement for any club, let alone one of our limited catchment area. For U16 & U17's there is also the development of the Junior Academy to help them develop towards senior rugby and no doubt making the club stronger. I hope this centre of learning not elitism will also welcome new players or help individuals meet their potential in the game.

As M&J Chairman I ask everyone, players, coaches, and parents to help the club keep this complete line of squads going, I believe it to be the most important indicator of a healthy club. It is a new exciting season of Mini & Junior rugby at Occupation Road and I am particularly looking forward to seeing our successes on and off the field growing further. This will of course need a great deal of teamwork and I appeal to all members to come forward and volunteer some help, however small the contribution. Volunteers are vital in such a small club as ours and we have so many tasks during a season from simple match day chores to fundraising and big social events. Do sit and wait, come forward and tell us what you can do. Debi Hambleton has taken on the role of volunteer co-ordinator and will be a contact point for you to help us. Please support Debi in this important new role.
I want everybody to enjoy their experience of rugby at Oundle in this World Cup year, our philosophy is to let everyone participate and develop into their full potential. Through participation and education we want Oundle players to be equipped with all the basic skills, vision and co-ordination to be able to express them fully while having full enjoyment. If anyone does not feel we are not achieving this aim please come and talk to me and don’t let any problems grow unresolved. Please provide time, feedback or ideas (click here) If you are not happy I need to know, remember we are here for all to enjoy and learn.
Let’s hope our national sides do well in the World Cup and you all aspire to match your heroes. I need you to help Oundle become a strong club for now and many years to come. On the field play hard and fair, off the field respect the club and facilities, above all be ambassadors of Oundle RFC all through the season.

Yours in Rugby, Peter Croot
Chairman Mini and Junior Section
